Stay or Quit Job

“Should I quit?” is usually several quieter questions wearing one loud coat: Is the pay fair? Is the stress manageable? Do I grow here? Rate six honest dimensions and get a structured reading with practical next steps — the tool never tells you to quit.

Salary satisfaction

Does the pay feel fair for the work and the market?

Stress level high score = low stress

High score means low stress — manageable pressure day to day.

Work-life balance

Does the job leave room for life outside work?

Growth opportunities

Learning, challenge and a realistic path forward.

Job security

How stable does the role and company feel?

Strength of alternatives

How good are the other options you realistically have right now?

Reset
How is the reading calculated?

Each dimension is scored 1–5 and converted to 0–100 (stress is reversed, so rating your stress 5 becomes a low score). The overall number is the simple average. It is a mirror of your own answers — not an assessment of the job itself and not advice.

About this tool. Big career moves deserve structure, not impulse. Whatever the reading says, the decision is yours: compare real alternatives, check whether the weak spots are fixable here, and give yourself a timeline to review. Nothing you enter is stored.

Worked example

A realistic scenario, already filled in. Open it, then change one number at a time to see what actually moves the result.

Good money, poor balance

Salary and security rated well, stress and work-life balance rated poorly, with decent growth and reasonable alternatives. The reading points at exploring what is fixable before considering a move.

Frequently asked questions

Does a low result mean I should quit?

No. It means several of the dimensions you rated are weak at the moment. The report points at concrete next steps, and it usually starts with the parts that could be fixed where you already are.

How is stress scored?

It is reversed on purpose. Rating your stress 5 means high stress, which becomes a low score, so a high overall result always means a healthier situation.

How many dimensions can be weak before I should worry?

There is no threshold, and the tool deliberately does not invent one. One weak dimension that matters enormously to you is a stronger signal than four mild ones.

Is this career advice?

No. It is a structured reflection on your own answers, not an assessment of the job and not advice. It cannot know your market, your finances or your family situation.
